Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and, if you use OAuth (Google, GitHub), your name and profile picture as provided by that service. We do not store your OAuth passwords.
User-generated content. Notes and feedback you write on the platform are stored and associated with your account.
Usage data. We collect information about how you use the Service — such as which topics you view and which features you interact with — to improve the platform.
Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number or payment credentials — only subscription status and identifiers provided by the payment processor.
Communications. If you contact us via feedback or email, we retain that correspondence.

4. Third-Party Services

Firebase / Google — authentication and session management
MongoDB Atlas — database hosting for user data, notes, and feedback
AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) — content generation; your prompts in the AI chat feature may be sent to these providers
Payment processor — subscription billing; governed by their own privacy policy
Google Analytics — anonymized usage analytics

5. AI Chat Privacy

When you use the "Ask AI" feature, your messages are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. Do not include sensitive personal information in AI chat messages. We do not use your chat messages to train AI models, but our providers may have their own data retention policies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., billing records).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Object to or restrict certain processing
